We want the Knowledge Atlas to be available for use and reuse by anyone for any purpose. By contributing content to the Knowledge Atlas Co-op, you are releasing your work under the Creative Commons Attribution license. You retain the copyright on your own work, which means you can use and relicense your own work in any way you choose.
Spam is not welcome in the Knowledge Atlas. We classify spam as:
- commercial content designed to sell products or services
- external links and references unrelated to the material to which they are attached
- multiple identical or extremely similar additions of content
The Knowledge Atlas Co-op reserves the right to remove spam, and to deactivate the accounts of contributors who continually violate the anti-spamming guidelines.
The Knowledge Atlas Co-op, like most website operators, collects certain technical information from all visitors to the site. This includes IP addresses, standard information provided by your web browsing software, and dates and times of page requests. This information may be used in aggregate for statistical purposes, but will not be published or otherwise shared in a form that allows for personal identification.
For people who register to contribute to the site, Knowledge Atlas collects certain personal information. Your real name is required to contribute to Knowledge Atlas, and is attached to all of your contributions. A valid email address is also required. Your email address will not be shared publicly unless you specifically choose to share it. Any other personal information you provide to Knowledge Atlas is optional, and will not be shared unless you choose to share it. The Knowledge Atlas Co-op will not sell, rent or otherwise make available such personal information without your consent except when required by law.
The Knowledge Atlas website uses certain technical measures, such as cookies, to provide website functionality. These technical measures are only used in the operation of the Knowledge Atlas website, and are not used to track your activity outside of the Knowledge Atlas site. This information may be used and shared in aggregate for statistical purposes. All personally identifiable information will be removed before any sharing or publication.
